Activity:the researcher to be hired will carry out research and development activities in the main area of Engineering Sciences and Technologies, scientific area of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Informatics, scientific sub-area of AI/Machine learning, and all other scientific and technical activities in related topics, namely the following: i) - Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning, Deep learning, Deep Reinforcement learning to deal with robotics, autonomous systems, human-computer interaction, computer vision, language processing, Healthcare; ii)- IoT, Edge and Cloud Computing, and AI-driven applications for autonomous systems, robotics, healthcare; iii) – Smart grids, such as in topics of computational intelligence, Machine learning, estimation, optimization and control methodologies for smart grids. The Junior Researcher will be responsible, on a regular basis, for research and development activities and all other scientific and technical activities within the scope of the ISR mission and also: a) Participate in the design, development and execution of research and development and in related scientific and technical activities, including the preparation of reseach proposals; b) Guide the work carried out within the scope of the projects under their responsibility; c) Collaborate in the development of training procedures within the scope of the research and development methodology; d) Monitor the research work carried out by the scholarship holders, research interns and research assistants and participate in their training; e) Support to the participation of ISR in the Arise Europen research progamms.
Academic level: Doctoral degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or similar areas
