    A. Paulo Coimbra received his BSc degree (1985) and PhD degree (1996) in Electrical Engineering from the Univ. of Coimbra, Portugal. Since 1996 he has been Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Univ. of Coimbra. He is a researcher at ISR-Institute of Systems and Robotics of the Univ. of Coimbra. His research interests include biped robots, hyper-redundant robots, and electromagnetic compatibility.
