Dr. Afsaneh L. Sanati is a Junior Researcher at the Institute of Systems and Robotics (ISR), University of Coimbra, working in the Soft and Printed Microelectronics Laboratory. She received her PhD in Nanochemistry from the University of Tehran-Iran in 2019. Her research focuses on nanomaterials synthesis, electrochemical systems, and hybrid liquid-metal composites for soft and stretchable electronics and energy applications. Her work spans energy storage devices such as supercapacitors and stretchable batteries, as well as advanced electrochemical and biosensing platforms for biological, pharmaceutical, and environmental applications. She has authored over 30 scientific publications, holds a patent in functional hybrid materials, and contributes to the supervision of graduate students.
