Fernando Martins

Ph.D. Student - Universidade de Coimbra

He is M.Sc. in Electrical and Computers Engineering by the University of Coimbra. Currently he is a PhD student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Coimbra. He is a researcher at ISR - University of Coimbra, in the Intelligent Energy Systems Group, where he has been domain coordinator in the Concerted Action for the Energy Efficiency Directive, from 2012 to 2021, within the scope of three expert areas defined as Metering and billing information, Demand side resources and Grid efficiency and transformation efficiency. In the past, he has always worked in energy efficiency area, he was Head of Department at the Directorate General for Energy and Geology (2018-2019), Executive Director of the Management Structure of Portuguese NEEAP and the National Energy Efficiency Fund (2015-2018) and energy manager at the University of Coimbra (2007-2015)
