Iurii Medvedev, received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology, University of Coimbra, in 2026. He is currently a researcher with the Visual Information Security Team at the Institute of Systems and Robotics – Coimbra. His research focuses on deep learning–based computer vision, with particular emphasis on face recognition, biometric security, and presentation attack detection.
