Luís Maricato was born in 1981 in Coimbra. MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with specialization in the field of automation and robotics, University of Coimbra. In 2009 he began his collaboration with the Institute for Systems and Robotics and EDP Distribuição which has developed smart solutions for bird protection, and surveillance systems and thermography for preventive maintenance of EDP Distribuição substations. Utility Model registered in the Instituto Nacional da Propriedade Industrial as an Inventor with the number 10708 related to DISPOSITIVO PARA MOTORIZAÇÃO E CONTROLO DA TURBINA DE DISSUASÃO DE AVIFAUNA under the STORK Project at the Institute for Systems and Robotics during the year 2010. Article published in ""Elsevier Editorial System (tm) for Journal of Engineering and Technology Management"" under the heading ""Management of Equipment Storks in Activities of Electric Networks"", under the STORK project.
