Ph.D. Student - Universidade de Coimbra

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia de Sorocaba (FACENS) and a Post-Graduate degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), both renowned institutions in Brazil. Also, I am a sustainability enthusiastic, which I believe is the most important subject for future generations, and enthusiastic about energy, technology and creativity. Seeking knowledge in these so paramount fields, I have enrolled in the Master’s program of Energy for Sustainability at the University of Coimbra (UC). Currently, I am a PhD student in Sustainable Energy Systems at UC, a Ph.D. research fellow by FCT (Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia de Portugal) under reference 2022.13855.BD and a researcher at the Institute of Systems and Robotics – University of Coimbra. Also, I was a volunteer and vice-chair at the Power and Energy Society (PES) – a chapter of the IEEE Student Branch of UC, engaged in sustainability-related events. Furthermore, I was engaged as a volunteer in a sustainable entrepreneurism project called “ReneWaste”, with the objective of developing a digital collaborative web app that will connect entities interested in buying and selling waste. Today, I am a volunteer at the "REVERTER" Project, a UC initiative in partnership with Coimbra's City Hall to assess energy poverty in the city. Such actions disseminate knowledge that highly impacts the importance of a greener planet and drives society to promote vital behaviours, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Agenda. Regarding my skills, I am organized, flexible, punctual, responsible, persistent, and resilient, which together culminate in a powerful added value for social transformation.
