Cooling III: Analysis of Regional Markets for Air Conditioning Technologies in the Building Commercial Sector and Impact of the Development of these Technologies

For the tertiary sector, during 1997, we carried out in-depth work in office buildings to have concrete examples of simulations in typical office buildings (STR1051). At the beginning of 1998, we will train engineering groups and set up a data-base of cooling units (DIS/1366). To complete the action we have to define assistance in the design process which not only focuses on office buildings but also embodies the whole range of tertiary buildings and also residential buildings. The aim of this action is twofold. Firstly, to simulate the use of efficient equipment in the domestic sector by the design and diffusion of two information sheets. Secondly, To assist in the design process of 5 types of buildings (health, tourism, offices, public, residential buildings) in order to specify the crucial aspects for an efficient design of the buildings as well as of the cooling units.
