The operation aims to strengthen the scientific, technological, and experimental capacity of ISR-UC through the acquisition and deployment of advanced research equipment. This investment supports activities across the ISR four strategic areas: Advanced Materials & Sensors, Perceptual and Cognitive Systems, Robotics and Artificial Intelligent Systems, and Sustainable Energy Systems. The main objectives of the operation are to enhance research excellence; expand the capacity for development, testing, and validation of innovative technological solutions; accelerate knowledge transfer and the generation of intellectual property; and foster collaboration with academic, clinical, and industrial partners. The operation also seeks to consolidate key laboratory infrastructures for the fabrication, characterization, and integration of materials, intelligent systems, robotics, computer vision, and sustainable energy technologies. Expected results include strengthened infrastructure for cutting-edge research, increased scientific and technological output, improved capacity to address societal and industrial challenges, and enhanced conditions for the development of new projects, publications, patents, prototypes, and collaborations with industry. At the end of the implementation period, this information will be updated to reflect the results effectively achieved.
