REPowerE(d)U conference highlights VR, AR and AI for energy sector training

On 28 April 2026, the REPowerE(d)U European Conference — “Virtual & Augmented Reality as Tools for Training and Skill Improvement in the Energy Sector” — was held in Coimbra at the Order of Engineers – Central Region.
The event brought together European partners, experts, trainers, researchers, and institutional representatives to discuss the role of Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Artificial Intelligence in training, professional qualification, and raising awareness about the energy transition. Throughout the day, the objectives and results of the REPowerE(d)U project were presented, along with the training programs developed and practical VR/AR applications created as part of the project.
The conference also included demonstrations, hands-on experiments, discussions, and networking opportunities, promoting the exchange of experiences and perspectives among participants from different countries and fields of expertise.
